Dotard

Does Kim Jong Un know the English language better than the rest of us? He used the term "dotard" in a tweet or in some communication yesterday, and I was among the thousands who went online to look it up. It's a good word, I must admit. http://www.newser.com/story/249011/dotard-trends-on-twitter-after-kim-insults-trump.html

And Kim Jong Un has some interesting things to say about the U.S. president, most that I kind of have to agree with. At this point, I think that Frump (I honestly can't even write his name in the same paragraph as the word "president") is looking a lot crazier than I ever considered N. Korea's leaders to be. It's like he's a bully on the playground (this isn't new) that absolutely no one can control. But now he's going to learn that the one he's bullying is going to end up the winner somehow. And who doesn't want to root for the underdog? I think Frump needs someone to reel him in, someone to try to mold him into some presidential form that looks less like an elementary school student who gets so mad when he doesn't get his way. And I'd like to see the two leaders actually TALK. I'd like to hear Frump's reasons for saying that N. Korea should not have a nuclear program or that Iran should not have a nuclear program. I'd like a politician to tell me why the U.S. and our allies are allowed but other countries are not. Why doesn't Iran or N. Korea say to the U.S. that we can't have nuclear weapons either. Why don't we ALL just agree to get rid of them. Yes, that would be my wish for the world.

I hope and pray that Frump isn't the last leader that this country ever has ... while we're still some semblance of a country, before all hell breaks loose. When  he was elected, I was afraid but hoped that all of my fears were just silly and things wouldn't be nearly as bad as I was expecting. So the fact that things are EXACTLY as bad or worse is horrifying to me.

I am just grateful every day that I wake up to what feels like normalcy within the confines of my life in a bubble. I live in an area that tends to get far fewer natural disasters, so there's some safety in that. I have a job and a house and a family. So when I wake up to all of those things, I HAVE to be grateful, since very recent history has shown us that things can dramatically transform in an instant.

On that note, my hopes and prayers are with those currently dealing with natural disasters in Mexico and the Caribbean as well as those in Texas and Florida (and anywhere else for that matter). Oh, and the wildfires ... those have been lost in the news because of all the hurricanes and earthquakes, so I hope that those in areas with wildfires are able to get out alive and, hopefully, not even be scathed. Once again, I feel like the safest place to be is away from technology (where all the news is bad) and under the covers of my bed with my husband and cats!
